    Part-time (Daytime / Evening) Lecturer
    Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Haking Wong)

    Subject Areas:
    (i) Social Media and Digital Marketing
    (ii) Online Business (O2O Commerce)
    (iii) Screenwriting Skills for Television & Film
     
    Major Duties:
    (a) To conduct lectures and workshops / tutorials of the assigned module(s) including the preparation of teaching materials, supervision of students’ projects, marking student assessments and other academic activities;
    (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
    (c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
    (d) To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions; and
    (e) To attend meetings when necessary.
       
    Requirements:
    (a) Specific Requirements for Different Subject Areas:
      (i) For Social Media and Digital Marketing:
    - A recognised degree in Business Administration and Management, Information Technology, Information Management, E-Commerce, Marketing, etc., preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
    - At least 5 years’ relevant work experience including at least 3 years’ teaching or management experience;
    (ii) For Online Business (O2O Commerce):
      - A recognised degree in Business Administration and Management, Information Technology, Information Management, E-Commerce, Marketing, etc. , preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
      - At least 5 years’ relevant work experiences including at least 3 years’ relevant teaching and management experience in O2O;
      (iii) For Screenwriting Skills for Television & Film:
      - A relevant recognised degree, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
      - A relevant professional qualification in television or film screenwriting (e.g., being a member of the Hong Kong Screenwriter's Guild (HKSWG));
      - At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience; and
      - At least one screenplay adapted into a television programme or film;
    (b) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
    (c) A good team player with a proactive attitude;
    (d) Preferably with knowledge and experience in curriculum and new module development; and
    (e) Candidate(s) with good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies and/or good understanding of VPET education would be an advantage.
       
         
    Notes:
    (1) Applicant(s) with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
    (2) Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment.
    (3) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties in different locations, outside normal working hours and/or outside campus.
    (4) Preference will be given to candidates who are immediately available.
