Major Duties : |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties, including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching materials; and |
|
(d) |
To assist in developing any team projects as assigned. |
|
|
|
|
Requirements : |
|
(a) |
(i) |
A recognised degree in English Language / English Language and Literature / Language Studies (English) / English Linguistics / Education (English) / English Communication / Translation (English), or equivalent professional qualifications; preferably with post-graduate qualifications in education; OR |
|
|
(ii) |
A recognised degree in a non-relevant field, , preferably with post-graduate qualifications; AND a relevant English teaching qualification, such as Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma in Education (major in English), Teaching English as a Second Language or Teaching English as a Foreign Language or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL and English-teaching certification recognised by TESL Canada) or English for Specific Purposes (ESP). A transcript with course details including the number of hours of instruction and practicum should be provided for consideration; |

(b) |
Good communication, interpersonal, teaching and facilitation skills; |
|
(c) |
Good presentation skills and knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications; |
|
(d) |
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese; |
|
(e) |
Preferably with relevant teaching and/or industry experience; and |
|
(f) |
Preferably with experience in teaching non-engaged youth. |

The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(4) |
The work location will be Tuen Mun. |

(5) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
