Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including student assessment, operating and maintaining training facilities and equipment to support teaching and learning; |
(b) |
To assist in providing academic support to programme development, learning support to student projects, and to perform teaching duties where necessary; |
(c) |
To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching and learning packages; |
(d) |
To perform duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(e) |
To provide academic counselling; |
(f) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
(g) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and function, including but not limited to fashion / image show, performances, consultancy services, short courses, seminars and exhibitions, where necessary. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in (i) Music / (ii) Theatre and Entertainment Arts or relevant field, or equivalent qualifications, preferably with post-graduate qualifications; |
(b) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; |
(c) |
Good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies will be an advantage; |
(d) |
Relevant experience in the (i) DJ industry / (ii) theatre and entertainment arts industry or shows or concerts would be an advantage; |
(e) |
For the subject area (ii), additional skills in the operation of lighting, stage setup / machinery and safety protocol are required; and |
(f) |
A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure. |

The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic/professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic/professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(3) |
Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment. |
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus. |
(5) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
