Major Duties: |
(a) |
To provide tutorial support, remedial classes, mentorship, or other related format to support the learning of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN); |
(b) |
To assist in carrying out duties in relation to academic support to students with SEN and academic administration namely special assessment arrangement, exemption and related logistic arrangement; |
(c) |
To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials, specifically for students with SEN; |
(d) |
To provide support in coordinating and implementing dedicated services for students with SEN; and |
(e) |
To participate in projects and functions of the institute, as well as discipline-wide projects and strategic initiatives, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in English Language / Linguistics / Translation (English) / English Literature / Education / Education (Special Needs), preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
A good team player, proactive and possess good interpersonal communication and organisational skills and with the ability to work independently under pressure and readiness to embark on self-learning; |
(c) |
Well-versed in e-learning; |
(d) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and |
(e) |
Experience in teaching and supporting students with SEN preferred. |
