    Part-time Lecturer
    Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tsing Yi)

    IVE Engineering has organised a number of high-quality professional development programmes for engineering practitioners in the areas of Construction, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, and Transportation Engineering.  Please refer to https://EDiT.vtc.edu.hk/ for details of the respective training programmes.  In order to meet the increase in demand for our services, we are looking for high caliber professionals with relevant work experience to provide part-time teaching in the following specialisms:
     
    Specialisms:
    (I) Aviation Systems and Operations
      - Air Cargo Operations and Systems
      - Aircraft and Systems
      - Airport and Airlines Operations
      - Airport Planning and Management
      - Airport and Airline Industry Project
      - Aviation and Human Factors in Aviation
      - Aviation Safety and Security Systems
    (II) Railway System Assurance
    (III) Power Engineering
      - Power System Planning & Design
      - Power System Protection and Control System
      - Power System Overhead Lines
      - Electronic Devices
    (IV) Stainless-Steel Piping Systems in Installation, Maintenance & Industry Applications
       
    Major Duties:
    (a) To conduct lectures and perform other teaching-related activities or duties, such as preparing teaching materials, setting assignments and examination papers, and marking both assignments and examination scripts for the programmes in the above subject areas (teaching materials and lectures will be in either Chinese or English);
    (b) To develop and review programme curriculum teaching and learning package;
    (c) To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes;
    (d) To carry out academic-related administration duties, such as invigilation of examinations; and
    (e) To participate in coordination meetings when necessary.
       
    Requirements:
    (a) A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
    (b) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience;
    (c) Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience in adult training programme; and
    (d) Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.
       
    Notes:
    The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties in the daytime and at different work locations as assigned.

    Closing date for application: 9 October 2025
     
    Applicants not invited for interview within 10 weeks from the closing date may consider their applications unsuccessful.
