    Part-time (Daytime / Evening) Lecturer / Fieldwork Supervisor
    Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Sha Tin)

    Major Duties:
    (a) To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;
    (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
    (c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
    (d) To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes;
    (e) To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions;
    (f) To assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of departmental projects; and
    (g) To assist in developing and reviewing quality policies of departmental projects, and maintain their standard and quality.
     
    Requirements:
    (a) A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
    (b) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience; preferably in the field:
      (i) children Chinese culture;
      (ii) occupational therapy;
      (iii) physiotherapy;
      (iv) play therapy;
      (v) art therapy;
      (vi) speech therapy;
      (vii) medical;
      (viii) children play;
      (ix) children art and music education;
      (x) specialist in children’s picture book
      (xi) teaching Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) children;
      (xii) teaching children with special educational needs (SEN);
      (xiii) playgroup teacher training;
      (xiv) green education;
      (xv) parent education;
      (xvi) STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education;
      (xvii) social work;
      (xviii) training for Home Managers for the elderly and disabled persons;
      (xix) elderly home management / policies;
      (xx) healthcare / first-aid treatment;
      (xxi) teaching the application of information technology in kindergartens / nurseries / elderly home;
    (c) For the candidates with Nursing qualification, they should be the Registered Nurse with the Hong Kong Nursing Council and holding valid practicing certificate;
    (d) For the candidates with Social Work qualification, they should be registered under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance Chapter 505 and holding valid practicing certificate;
    (e) For the candidates with Medical qualification, they should be the Registered Medical Practitioner under the Medical Registration Ordinance and holding valid practicing certificate;
    (f) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and
    (g) Good records of connection with the industry or professional bodies would be an advantage.
       
    Notes:
    (1) The post of Part-time (Daytime / Evening) Fieldwork Supervisor is at the rank of Lecturer.
    (2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
