    Director
    Vocational Training for People with Disabilities Office (VTPDO)

    Major Duties :
    (a) To lead the strategic planning and development of the Office, and oversee the operations of Shine Skills Centres, Shine Vocational Assessment Service, Shine Technical Aids and Resource Centre, and VTC Social Enterprise;
    (b) To formulate and implement strategic initiatives of the VTPDO;
    (c) To plan, manage, monitor and control the provision and utilisation of staff and other resources in the VTPDO;
    (d) To provide academic leadership in curriculum planning, design and development, validation and accreditation of the courses and oversee their academic quality; 
    (e) To take charge of the promotional and publicity programmes of the relevant training and services; and
    (f) To establish networks with all internal and external stakeholders for the betterment of vocational training and rehabilitation services for people with disabilities.
       
    Requirements :
    (a) A recognised degree and a post-graduate qualification; preferably with relevant professional qualification(s);
    (b) At least 12 years’ relevant experience, preferably with not less than 4 years in the education sector at an appropriate level of responsibility;
    (c) Demonstrated commitment, passion and empathy to support people with disabilities;
    (d) Good academic leadership and capability to drive the strategic initiatives of the Office;
    (e) Good networking capability and strong entrepreneurial, people and communication skills;
    (f) Good understanding of the vocational and professional education and training (VPET) as well as the services for people with disabilities; and
    (g) Good language proficiency in English and Chinese; including Putonghua.
       
    Notes :
    (1) The post is at the rank of “Head of Department”.
    (2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
    (3) In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
