    Quantity Surveying Manager
    Estates and Campus Development Office

    Major Duties :
    (a) To assist in the preparation of budgets, financial statements and cash flow statements, updates of financial data and records, and cost control for capital and maintenance works;
    (b) To assist Senior Quantity Surveying Manager to manage and oversee the works carried out by external quantity surveying consultants in capital and maintenance works;
    (c) To assist Senior Quantity Surveying Manager to manage claims, variations assessment and disputes handling in consultancy contracts;
    (d) To maintain proper cost control and records of expenditure on the capital and maintenance works; and
    (e) To prepare cost reports to senior management.
       
    Requirements :
    (a) A recognised diploma / higher certificate in Quantity Surveying / Building Studies, or equivalent; preferably with relevant recognised degree;
    (b) At least 4 years’ post-qualification experience in quantity surveying, preparing bills of quantity / tender documentation, settling claims related to building and building services contracts;
    (c) Preferably with membership of a relevant professional institution in Quantity Surveying;
    (d) Additional qualifications and experience in handling capital projects, contract law, insurance law, arbitration in building contracts and building services works are desirable;
    (e) Excellent negotiation, management and interpersonal communication skills; and
    (f) Good computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
       
    Notes :
    (1) The post is at the rank of “Senior Quantity Survey Officer”.
    (2) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
    (3) Appointees may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
