Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties in the above-mentioned subject areas, including preparation and delivery of teaching materials, supervision of students’ projects and other academic activities; |
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; and |
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in Japanese Studies or Japanese Language or professional qualification, preferably with a relevant post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching / industry experience; |
(c) |
Strong communication and presentation skills, and writing skills in both English and Japanese; |
(d) |
Good records of linkage with industry would be an added advantage; |
(e) |
Pass in Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1; |
(f) |
J2 or above in BJT (Business Japanese Proficiency Test) is preferred; and |
(g) |
Candidate(s) who have completed the Japanese Language Teacher Training Course would have an advantage. |

Applicant(s) with less experience may be considered for the post of “Part-time (Daytime) Assistant Lecturer” at the rank of Teaching Associate. |
(2) |
Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment. |
(3) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and outside campus. |
