The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers over 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. Major Duties: |
The appointee shall report to the Principal Investigator (PI) of the project and is expected to assist the PI in the development and co-ordination of research activities and daily operations in relations to the research projects “A Study of Temperature and Relative Humidity Effect on Strength Development of Low Carbon Concrete”. |

He/she will be required to: |
(a) |
carry out research activities, such as casting and testing concrete, for research project; |
(b) |
arrange reimbursement of expenditures as arising from the research project; and |
(c) |
assist in writing reports, analyzing results of research studies, and drafting manuscripts and presentation materials for publication. |

Requirements: |
For the post of Research Assistant I, applicants should have a recognised Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or relevant disciplines, or a recognized degree in related disciplines with relevant work experience; or equivalent. |
|

For the post of Research Assistant II, applicants should have a recognised sub-degree, preferably a recognised degree, in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or relevant disciplines, or equivalent level of study. |
|
Applicants for the above posts should have background knowledge and skills in structural design and finite element analysis, as well as good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. |

Notes: |
(1) |
The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary. |
(2) |
The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. |
(3) |
The appointee will work at the Tsing Yi Campus. |
