    Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer (Architectural History and Theory)
    School for Higher and Professional Education (Tsing Yi)

    The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up degree programmes to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities. Applications are now invited for the Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer posts offered by SHAPE (Tsing Yi) for a full-time degree programme, BSc (Hons) Architectural Studies, in the academic year 2025/26.
     
    Major Duties:
    (a) To conduct lectures / perform teaching duties at the bachelor’s degree level;
    (b) To mark and provide guidance / feedback on students’ assessments and projects;
    (c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
    (d) To carry out academic related administration duties, including serving in academic and other related meetings etc.; and
    (e) To participate in school projects, exhibitions, study tours / visits, and arrange seminars / talks and functions, where necessary.
       
    Requirements:
    (a) A recognised master’s degree in Architecture and/or equivalent academic qualifications;
    (b) At least 4 years’ relevant teaching experience at tertiary / degree level and relevant work experience in the architectural and construction industry;
    (c) Experience in the holistic approach to delivering the architectural courses is preferable; and
    (d) Possession of professional qualifications such as HKIA, RIBA, RAIA or equivalent would be an advantage.

    Applicants not invited for interview within 10 weeks from the closing date may consider their applications unsuccessful.
