    Community Engagement Manager
    Community Engagement Unit

    Major Duties:
    (a) To facilitate engagement of all disciplines and Operational Units (OUs) in developing community projects under the VTC’s initiative – Community Connect with Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET);
    (b) To coordinate with disciplines, OUs and various community / industry partners in promoting VPET through exploring, coordinating and showcasing students’ outstanding projects;
    (c) To support the Central Community Engagement Unit to organise corporate / mass events under the initiative through liaising and fostering cooperation with all stakeholders;
    (d) To provide central support in coordinating disciplines / OUs for participating in community events through showcasing students’ works / projects;
    (e) To assist in exploring opportunities to showcase students’ projects and contributions to the community;
    (f) To provide secretariat / administrative support on the work of the initiative;
    (g) To supervise and coordinate the work of executive, clerical and supplies staff to ensure effective operation and management of the operational unit; and
    (h) To help implement the quality policy of the operational unit.
     
    Requirements:
    (a) A recognised degree or equivalent;
    (b) At least 5 years’ relevant experience in project / event management, and/or organising and implementing learning projects / programmes and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders;
    (c) Good communication, presentation, facilitation and problem-solving skills;
    (d) Strong initiative, mature, confident and a good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure;
    (e) Familiar with digital skills and social media platforms; and
    (f) A high level of written and spoken language proficiency in both Chinese and English, preferably including Putonghua.
     
    Notes:
    (1) The post is at the rank of “Senior Officer”.
    (2) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
    (3) Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment.
    (4) The post is time-limited in nature up to 31 August 2026.
    (5) The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus.
