Major Duties : |
(a) |
To conduct occupational health and safety surveys and assessments for construction sites of the Council; |
(b) |
To perform periodic inspections and audits on construction sites; |
(c) |
To investigate accidents and dangerous occurrences, and make recommendations for preventive measures; and |
(d) |
To assist in the implementation of occupational health and safety management programmes for construction sites as stipulated by the Council’s safety and health policy and legislative requirements. |

Requirements : |
(a) |
A recognised degree in relevant fields including engineering, science or occupational health and safety-related disciplines, or equivalent; |
(b) |
At least 2 years of work experience in construction projects; |
(c) |
Good record of managing construction works safety, work experience in government or institutional projects and large-scale development projects will be an advantage; |
(d) |
Registered as Safety Officer under the Labour Department; |
(e) |
Good communication and interpersonal skills; and |
(f) |
Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese. |

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

Appointees may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned. |
