Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and |
|
(d) |
To participate in projects and functions of the Language Centre, and the campus, where necessary. |
|
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
(i) |
A recognised degree in Chinese Language / Chinese Language and Literature / Language Studies (Chinese) / Chinese Linguistics / Education (Chinese); or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; OR |
|
|
(ii) |
A recognised degree in Translation / Teaching Chinese as a Second Language or as a Foreign Language. A transcript with course details should be provided for consideration; |
|
(b) |
(i) |
Grade B, Level 2 or above in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) – Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work; OR |
|
|
(ii) |
A pass in the Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers (Putonghua) administered by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessments Authority (HKEAA) or equivalent; |
|
(c) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience; |
|
(d) |
Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; |
|
(e) |
Good problem-solving and time management skills; and |
|
(f) |
Ability to work independently and in teams. |
