Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
|
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in Creative Media, Film, or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or work experience in Film / TV, preferably at an appropriate level of responsibility; |
|
(c) |
Solid experience in Film / TV cinematography and lighting; |
|
(d) |
Good teaching, administrative, interpersonal and team building skills; |
|
(e) |
Good communication and presentation skill in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and |
|
(f) |
Records of linkage with industry / professional bodies would be an advantage. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with less relevant experience and/or qualification may be considered for the post of Term Assistant Lecturer, at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(3) |
Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(4) |
Appointees may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis. |
