The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers more than 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. These programmes cover industries with growth potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. The programmes integrate practical applications with theoretical knowledge to ensure that students can effectively apply what they have learned. Our degree programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, as well as by the relevant professional bodies where appropriate. By adopting an applied Science-Oriented teaching approach and focusing on applied Bachelor's degree programmes, THEi equips students with professional skills and knowledge to meet various future challenges upon graduation. Major Duties: |
The appointee shall develop the programme structure and curriculum of the new programme – Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electric Vehicle Design and Technology, and prepare the written documents bilingually. S/he shall perform the required duties offsite and report the progress of work to the Head of Department regularly. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: |
(a) |
Designing the overall programme structure to ensure alignment with educational standards and industry needs; |
(b) |
Creating new modules that are engaging, relevant, and innovative; |
(c) |
Developing detailed syllabuses for each module, including learning outcomes, assessment methods, and instructional strategies; |
(d) |
Collaborating with stakeholders to gather input and feedback throughout the development process; |
(e) |
Conducting research to identify best practices and trends in programme development; and |
(f) |
Ensuring that the programme meets accreditation requirements and quality assurance standards. |

Requirements: |
The successful candidate should have a recognised Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s degree, in Electric Vehicle Design and Technology, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, with good professional standing and strong industry networks, achievements in professional practice and applied research activities. S/he should have high proficiency in written English and Chinese. |

Preference will be given to candidates who possess a membership of professional institutions such as the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Proven records of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage. |
