Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ project and fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A relevant recognised degree, preferably in Pet Care, Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, Veterinary Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Zoology, Biology, or equivalent, preferably with postgraduate qualifications; |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and / or experience in pet industry (e.g. pet care service, pet grooming service, animal nutrition, etc.); |
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; |
(d) |
A good team player and with the ability to work independently under pressure and readiness to embark on self-learning; and |
(e) |
Good records of linkage with the industry or with solid work experience would be an added advantage. |

Notes: |
(1) |
Applicants with less experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Lecturer at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English. |
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned. |
(5) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
