Higher Diploma Programme Overview
The following section presents the programme information offered in AY2026/27. Programme information for AY2027/28 will be announced in November 2026.
The VTC offers government-subvented Higher Diploma (HD) programmes through its member institutions, including the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE), Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI), Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology (HKIIT), International Culinary Institute (ICI) and Chinese Culinary Institute (CCI).
With a typical study duration of two years, the HD programmes emphasise both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, catering to the diverse interests and capabilities of students. We provide internships that allow them to gain relevant experiences closely aligned with manpower demands.
Graduates can progress to continue their educational journey, advancing to degree programmes offered by local and overseas universities/institutions. Our HD programmes are recognised by universities and the graduates' competence is highly valued by the industry.
