As societal demand for product quality has sustained over the years, demand for talents from the testing and certification industry is on the rise. This industry has also been identified by the Government as an industry with clear advantages and great potential for economic growth. The need for talents possessing relevant knowledge and skills is growing, where young people can enjoy promising career prospects.

Earn and Learn	:	Programme participants will receive on-the-job training and classroom learning at the same time. A steady income and a recognised qualification are guaranteed
All-round Career Support	:	One-stop career counselling and placement services
Professional Career after Scheme Completion	:	Upon completion of the Scheme, graduates of Higher Diploma will be entitled to a monthly salary not less than $12,000
Flexible Articulation Pathways	:	Graduates can pursue further studies to acquire higher qualifications and become a professional in the field

Study Arrangement

The first to fourth years

Participants will be employed by the participating companies as apprentices. For the first 3 years, the employer will sponsor the apprentice to study the Higher Diploma programme at IVE for one day and two evenings per week

Allowance & Salary*

The first to third years	Participants will receive a total subsidy of $30,800 from their employers, a guaranteed monthly salary not less than $9,000 and an average of $2,500 government allowance. The total monthly income will be above $10,000.
The fourth year	Full-time on-the-job training with a guaranteed monthly salary not less than $9,000.


The first year of training Monthly salary not less than $9,000 and an average of $2,000 Government Allowance	Monthly average $11,000 or above
The second year of training Monthly salary not less than $9,000 and an average of $2,500 Government Allowance	Monthly average $11,500 or above
The third year of training Monthly salary not less than $9,000 and an average of $3,000 Government Allowance	Monthly average $12,000 or above
An additional subsidy during the first to third year	$30,800
The fourth year Full-time training

Entry Requirement

Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; or

VTC Foundation Diploma (Level 3) / Diploma of Foundation Studies and with successful completion of Foundation Mathematics III; or
VTC Diploma in Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Education with successful completion of Mathematics 3G; or
Yi Jin Diploma/ Diploma Yi Jin with successful completion of Mathematics Plus; or
Equivalent.
