Part 3 59 MEMBER INSTITUTIONS, SUPPORT UNITS AND SERVICES Wu Ho Loo Ning Scholarship 3.105 Funded by a donation from Wu Jieh Yee Charitable Foundation, the scholarship scheme is set up to support deserving Youth College (International) graduates with all-rounded skills and academic achievement to further unleash their potential in the VPET study pathway. Each scholarship valued at HK$140,000 will be awarded to support a graduate of Youth College (International) to pursue the VPET undergraduate programme within a normative study period at THEi. Rotary Hong Kong Vocational Scholarship 3.106 The Rotary Hong Kong Vocational Scholarship is a progressing scholarship scheme which supports VTC financially needy students of DFS who illustrate positive attitude, leadership qualities and commitment to the community to articulate to HD and THEi Degree (Year 3 Entry) programmes. The scholarship amount ranges from HK$10,000 to HK$35,000. D. Scholarships / Subsidy Schemes to Encourage Out-reaching Participation Mr Yeung Kai-yin Memorial Scholarship 3.107 This scholarship enables needy students to participate in study visits and overseas exchange programmes to broaden their exposure and enhance their holistic development. Each student is awarded up to HK$10,000 to subsidise their proposed visits. The HKSAR Government Subsidy Schemes for Exchange Activities for Post-secondary Students 3.108 Introduced by the Government, the schemes aim to subsidise students in undertaking outbound exchange activities, so as to nurture them with international outlook, good communication skills and abilities to thrive in a multi-cultural environment. The schemes are applicable to local and non-local students (for Mainland exchange activities only) enrolled in fulltime HD and degree programmes. Subsidy amount varies according to the destination and duration of the exchange activity and the level of meanstested student financial assistance (applicable to means-tested subsidy schemes). Students with financial needs can apply for means-tested schemes with a higher subsidy amount.
