Part 3 57 MEMBER INSTITUTIONS, SUPPORT UNITS AND SERVICES The Shanghai Commercial Bank Scholarship 3.96 The Scholarship aims to award elite students for their academic attainments, leadership capabilities and aspiration to develop their career in the selected industries in Hong Kong. A scholarship of HK$10,000 is awarded to each recipient. Chevalier Group Scholarship 3.97 The Scholarship recognises talented engineering and construction students and benefits 20 HD students (awarded HK$40,000 each) and 20 DVE students (awarded HK$10,000 each) in each academic year. The Scholarship aims to motivate and inspire students to pursue their academic goals, and become industry leaders who serve the community. C. Scholarship for Further Studies The Alistair Harvey Foundation Scholarship Scheme 3.98 This scheme provides financial assistance of up to £31,100 a year to graduates from full-time HD programmes in Engineering, Health and Life Sciences, and Information Technology Disciplines to support their degree studies at universities in the United Kingdom (U.K.). The scholarships cover tuition fees, accommodation, living expenses, and airfares for two academic years. 3.99 Starting from AY 2022/23, the Alistair Harvey Foundation also offers “Alistair Harvey Foundation Scholarship for Masters Study” to support outstanding Alistair Harvey Scholars and VTC graduates of science & technology-related subjects to obtain master’s qualifications in the U.K. Together with the existing “Alistair Harvey Foundation Degree Scholarship”, the two scholarships cover expenses on tuition fees, accommodation, living expenses and airfares for the awardees for their studies. 3.100 “Alistair Harvey Foundation Scholarship for Academic Exchange” offers THEi students a one-year academic exchange in designated science and technology-related full-time degree programmes in the U.K.
