Part 3 38 VOCATIONAL TRAINING COUNCIL 3.8 In addition, PEAK provides customised training and development solutions to corporate clients, through lecture-based programmes, e-learning and tailor-made experiential learning activities. Since 2004, more than 300 local companies have adopted PEAK’s products and services to enhance the competency and professional expertise of their employees and have used PEAK’s professional consultancy services. PEAK also organises tailored training and exchange programmes for Mainland officials, teachers and corporations. 3.9 The Examination Centre of PEAK is one of the designated administrators for the professional examinations in Hong Kong, including the Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examination, the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Examination, the Estate Agents / Salespersons Qualifying Examination, and among others. SCHOOL FOR HIGHER AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION 3.10 The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) collaborates with world-recognised United Kingdom (U.K.), Australian and Mainland China universities since 2003 to offer career-oriented top-up degree programmes across a wide range of professions for sub-degree graduates. 3.11 SHAPE currently collaborates with nine universities in the U.K. Australia, and Mainland China to offer over 40 programmes in AY 2023/24, covering seven study areas in Business, Childcare, Elderly and Community Services, Design, Engineering, Health and Life Sciences, Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure, and Information Technology. For AY 2023/24, the Government provides an annual subsidy of HK$33,740 through the Nonmeans-tested Subsidy Scheme (NMTSS) for eligible students pursuing fulltime self-financed top-up degree programmes offered by SHAPE. 3.12 All of SHAPE’s non-local top-up degree programmes offered in collaboration with the U.K. and Australian universities are accredited by the HKCAAVQ at QF Level 5.
