Part 4 104 VOCATIONAL TRAINING COUNCIL Game Development Lab, HKIIT at IVE (Chai Wan) 4.141 This lab provides the one-stop solution for the development of computer games with the necessary hardware and 3D gaming software. In addition, students are encouraged to enhance their game concepts including character creation, from 3D model design to corresponding 3D printing. Inside the lab, different contemporary game platforms such as VR / AR devices and Arcade game stations are installed which give students hands-on experiences in a more interactive and enjoyable way Game Development Studio, HKIIT at IVE (Sha Tin) 4.142 The Studio is designed to facilitate students’ learning and stimulate their creativity, helping them to gain hands-on experience on game development. Game Visualisation Centre, HKIIT at IVE (Lee Wai Lee) 4.143 The Game Visualisation Centre seeks to provide comprehensive training to students and offer industry support services in game development for creative industries in Hong Kong. The Centre has three specific areas of training: Game Design and Development, Game Visualisation System, and Game Programming. Games and Animation Laboratory, HKIIT at IVE (Tuen Mun) 4.144 The Lab provides many computer-based multimedia tools to students to facilitate their learning in games and animation production. Creative Studio, HKIIT at IVE (Lee Wai Lee) 4.145 The Studio provides a dynamic, one-stop design learning platform for students to experience the real nature of the design process. It aims at promoting the “Think and Do” philosophy and “Go-to-market” solution in students’ learning by cultivating their basic design skills, build up their interdisciplinary thinking ability and widening their market perspectives through a wide range of real-life projects.
