The authentic home features barrier-free home living, therapeutic home appliances, colour-contrasting furniture, visual and sensory stimulating entertainment, and various sensory systems for risk minimisation. The Lab is designed for professional training, interdisciplinary innovation and public education. 4.82 The Clinical Observation Room and Simulated Laboratory are furnished with a one-way mirror, a built-in camera and audio recording systems, with the aim of recording the counselling processes for effective self-review and peer learning. Xensory Lab, IVE (Sha Tin) 4.83 The Xensory Lab is a simulated training room that serves as a platform for students to develop the skills in assisting sensory integration training for children with special needs. The Lab is equipped with sensory integration tools and equipment as well as virtual reality devices for students to experience the needs of those children. DESIGN DISCIPLINE Apple Authorised Training Centre for Education, HKDI 4.84 The Apple Authorised Training Centre for Education supports training on creative production of time-based media. The Centre is sought after by the advertising, design, film, television, audio, and animation industries. It offers certified training programmes in “Logic Pro” and “Final Cut Pro” in Hong Kong. “Logic Pro” is the standard software for digital music and sound production in the current industry while “Final Cut Pro” is a software for digital video editing and production.
