BACKGROUND
In mid-2001, the Network Technology Centre
was established by the Department of Information and Communications Technology
of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tsing Yi) to promote the
professional activities in the area of Network Technology. It is one of the major
infrastructure developments to mark the inauguration of Dept. of ICT formed by the merging
of the Dept. of Mathematics and Computing and the communications section of the Dept.
of Electrical and Communications Engineering.
