Institute of Technical Education College (ITE) Exchange Program hosted by Department of Engineering IVE (TY) was successfully completed on 22ndFeb, 2009. This exchange program was the great opportunity for both our students from Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) and teaching staffs to exchange the knowledge, experience and culture. Furthermore, it was the first ever that the aircraft maintenance engineering students from ITE came to IVE to exchange with our students in AME course.
This exchange program was organized for Singapore ITE students and staff members from the AME course and the aims were to serve the following purposes:
- To provide an opportunity for the students from Singapore to understand the aviation industry in Hong Kong;
- To allow students form Singapore and local IVE students to build up their network;
- To create collaboration opportunities that will benefit both institutes.
Over the exchange program dated from 2nd Feb to 22nd Feb 2009, IVE had organized several aviation industrial visits, academic programs, and free flight glider contest to make the whole program to be a very meaningful and fruitful event. The highlights of the program are listed in the following:
