PASSING ON THE LEGACY Bob He, a Higher Diploma in International Business Management student, comes from a less-advantaged, single-parent family. “My father had been slogging hard to support my studies. While I was going through a rough patch, the bursary not only gave me financial relief but also the concern and warmth I genuinely felt.” Bob has a good understanding of the financial stress faced by many grassroots students and the emotional toll that comes with it. “Bursaries can ease the financial burden on students, let them catch their breath and give them the energy to keep moving forward. Having had the same experience, I am able to grasp the problems of grassroots students well. I will share my own story and encourage them to face up to their troubles positively.” “I am thankful to the Wu Jieh Yee Charitable Foundation for helping me to pull through. Besides continuing to study hard, I will also participate in more voluntary work with the hope of spreading positive energy to others!”
