Masterpieces from Joseph So (top) and Shahrukh Khan (bottom) of HKDI successfully won the “HKDI Young Design Talent Award” and “CreateSmart Young Design Talent Special Award” issued by Hong Kong Design Centre in 2019 with scholarships each amounting to HK$250,000 provided for work attachment in design companies or further studies at design institutes overseas. The menswear series “Awakening” by Joseph blended traditional craftsmanship with asymmetrical tailoring while the ladies’ collection “Blossom” by Shahrukh highlighted feminine radiance with lotus patterns.
