ASEAN Countries In 2015, the VTC made an important milestone in Guangxi — China’s gateway to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries — in concluding an agreement with Nanning College for Vocational Technology to jointly establish a new Guangxi-Hong Kong Vocational Education Development Alliance, supported by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The foundation stone was officially laid in 2017 for commencing the construction of a 20-storey complex with various training facilities. Through this platform, the VTC would have even greater access to other ASEAN countries and can develop partnerships with institutions in the region. Every alternative year, the VTC attends the China-ASEAN Vocational Education International Forum held in Nanning, Guangxi where education officials, professionals and educators from all ASEAN countries gather to discuss and exchange views and information about the latest trends and development of VPET.
