HealthTech Centre and Smart Living Home The global ageing trend has created an escalating demand for healthcare and medical services, as well as elderly care practitioners. To support the ageing population, the VTC has established a HealthTech Centre and a Smart Living Home at IVE (Kwai Chung) to provide education and community services. The HealthTech Centre allows teachers to conduct clinical skill set instruction, provides face-to-face experience, and offers health screening tests for the elderly. The Smart Living Home serves as a platform for gerontechnology knowledge and skills transfer, and provides students with training in modern healthcare. The Smart Living Home incorporates modern healthcare technology into home design to create a safe and comfortable home environment for ageing in place. Making Learning Fun and Creative 55
