Tripartite efforts of the government, industry and educational institutions will continue to be stepped up to ensure continuous development of a comprehensive VPET system. With increased availability of Applied Degree programmes, no longer will an apprentice be locked down and kept working in “blue-collar” jobs. Degree apprenticeship is now in the VPET system through the VTC’s continuous enhancement of the programmes so that every young person has a choice to thrive in the new world of work. The seamless multi-entry VPET pathways will provide flexible and quality options for young people to develop their professional skills and qualifications, and become better equipped for a competitive future.
