Health-tech Innovations for Sustainable Community Dr Hong Fung, JP, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of CUHK Medical Centre, recounted the story of developing a fully digitalised and smart hospital in Hong Kong via advanced technologies to provide quality, integrative healthcare services to local community. Professor Paul Chamberlain, Founder and Director of Lab4Living of UK’s Sheffield Hallam University, outlined the design of a collaborative research programme involving Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the UK to promote health and quality of life of the elderly via creative, empowering health-tech solutions. Dr Wolfgang Kratky, Innovation Manager of Telecare and Telemedicine of Geriatric Health Centres of the City of Graz (GGZ) in Austria, illustrated how technology-enabled telecare solutions were incorporated as part of the medical and social care systems in Scandinavian countries to help elderly people lead an active, connected and self-determined life.
