Skilling for the Future (2020 Update)

An effective 21st century education must be able to connect students with the real world and empower them with the requisite know-how for tomorrow. A comprehensive VPET system that provides impactful applied education up to the Degree level will answer the talent needs in emerging skills areas and promote lifelong learning. Emphasising authentic work-integrated learning experiences, VPET supports the development of 21st century competencies valued by industries. Adopting a user-centric approach, we will leverage new technologies to enrich students' learning experiences and generate insights for improving effectiveness in teaching and learning. Going forward, the VTC will continue to further the development of the VPET pathway, keeping it on par with the academic one in both quality and recognition. As a valued choice for aspiring young people and in- service practitioners, VPET will create boundless opportunities and build better lives for all. 115
