Our younger generation needs to develop and sharpen practical skills and 21st century core competencies in order to be successful in the current and future global marketplace. The VTC actively focuses on developing 21st century competencies in students so that they are work-ready. Underpinned by a strong sense of ethics, these skills span learning, thinking, and innovation competencies, including: • a design thinking mindset to create new ideas and solve problems; • self-management skills to make responsible decisions; • team management skills to communicate, influence, and collaborate with others effectively; • inter-cultural networking skills.
