The VTC promotes innovation and co-creation with industry as part of students’ learning processes. Promoting Applied Research Last year, THEi garnered research grant awards totalling HK$16.6 million from various external funding schemes to execute research projects such as reviewing treatment of plastic waste and discarded electric vehicle batteries for energy storage applications, and to organise educational activities including a knowledge exchange programme for promoting technologies and urban sustainability through enhancing the horticulture industry.
