36 The VTC proactively advocates VPET to the secondary school sector, raising students’ appreciation of VPET and its value for their future career progression. VPET in Secondary School Sector During the year, diversified community outreach programmes including Applied Learning (ApL) courses in various areas of study, taster programmes and career planning activities were carried out to widen students’ understanding of the multiple VPET options available, as well as the career prospects of different trades. In 2019/20, over 1,800 Secondary Five students were enrolled in ApL courses offered by the VTC. Talks and sharing sessions using both physical and virtual formats were arranged for secondary school students to plan for their further studies and careers. Webinars for teachers, parents and students were also hosted and live- broadcast to help students better understand the multiple VPET study pathways provided by the VTC. STRENGTHENING THE PRESENCE OF VPET 加強推廣職專教育 VTC 積極向中學推廣職專教育,加深 中學生認識職專教育的價值,助他們 籌劃未來事業發展。 中學推廣活動 年內,我們推出多元化的外展活動, 包括不同專業範疇的應用學習課程、 體驗班、生涯規劃活動等,助中學生 認識職專教育的多元課程,以及不同 行業的事業前景。 2019/20 年度,超過 1,800 名中五學 生修讀 VTC 開辦的應用學習課程。我 們亦為中學生安排實體和網上講座與 分享會,助他們籌劃升學及事業前路。 另亦為師生和家長舉辦網上直播研討 會,協助中學生深入了解 VTC 職專教 育的多元升學路。
