71 A highly competent human resources network has always been at the cornerstone of the VTC’s sustainable development. As at 31 March 2019, we had a full-time workforce of 5,790 staff members, 3,620 of whom were teaching and administrative staff, along with 2,170 technical and supporting staff. Taking a proactive approach to enhancing the capability of our staff, we provided them with a variety of development activities and programmes, including study tours, familiarisation tours, training workshops, seminars and talks covering topics such as Design Thinking, Business Innovation and Disruptive Technology. For instance, the Tsinghua National Study Tours in May and June 2018 provided staff members with an opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the Mainland. By participating in various academic exchanges, international conferences and exhibitions, we were able to stimulate innovation and co-creation while enabling our staff to strengthen their local and global networks. DEVELOPING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE 鞏固卓越文化 優秀的團隊是 VTC 賴以長足發展的基 石。截至 2019 年 3 月 31 日, VTC 共 有 5,790 名全職員工,當中包括 3,620 名教學及行政人員, 2,170 名技術及 輔助人員。 我們積極舉辦各類型的活動及課程, 包括交流團、考察團、培訓工作坊、 研討會及講座,涵蓋設計思維、商業 創新及科技等主題,協助員工提升專 業水平。 2018 年 5 月及 6 月,我們為員工舉 辦清華國情班,讓他們了解內地的最 新發展。此外,透過參與學術交流、 國際會議及展覽,我們與伙伴均深受 啟發,在創新及共創意念上皆有得益, 亦鞏固員工在本地及國際間的網絡。
