57 The VTC is committed to facilitating students’ all-round development and empowering them to reach their full potential. Our market-driven programmes provide them with cross- disciplinary knowledge and skills for the future. We strive to advance their competencies and skills in such areas as communications and digital skills, critical thinking and design thinking capabilities required for the 21st century workforce. During the year, students were exposed to a wide range of enrichment programmes and extracurricular activities including the Student Peer Mentoring Scheme ‘IVElite’, the challenge-based programme ‘Road to Marathon’, and the public speaking initiatives ‘Speak for Success’ and Wofoo Leaders’ Network. These learning experiences helped our students develop their talents into strengths while boosting their confidence. The two-month-long ‘HKDI inspire* Design Thinking 2018’ event, which featured a series of master lectures and workshops, also helped VTC students harness the power of design thinking to resolve problems in different facets of their lives. ALL-ROUND STUDENT DEVELOPMENT 培育多元專才 我們致力促進學生的全人發展，助他 們發揮潛能。 VTC 的課程設計緊貼市 場，傳授跨學科知識和技能，裝備學 生迎接未來的挑戰。我們著重提升他 們的溝通和數碼技能、批判及設計思 維等，讓其掌握 21 世紀職場所需的各 種能力。 年內，學生參與各式各樣的增潤課程 及課外活動，包括 IVElite 學長啟導 計劃、以長跑挑戰自我的「 Road to Marathon 計劃」、訓練演講口才的「說 出成功路計劃」、和富領袖網絡等， 從中增強自信，盡展所長。 我們亦籌劃多項啟發思維的活動， 例如 HKDI 一連兩個月舉辦的 HKDI inspire* Design Thinking 2018 ， 透 過多場大師講座及工作坊，協助 VTC 學生運用設計思維，解決生活上的種 種難題。
