36 Support for Youths with Special Needs The VTC endeavours to provide equal access to VPET for all students. In the academic year 2018/19, about 450 non-engaged youths joined Vocational Development Programmes. Some 20 dedicated VPET programmes were also provided to around 700 non-Chinese speaking students to meet different training needs. 關顧特殊學習需要 VTC 重視為學生提供平等的職專教育 機會。 2018/19 學年，我們有約 450 名待學待業青年參加職業發展計劃， 並為約 700 名非華語學生提供約 20 項職專教育課程，滿足他們的不同需 要。 2018/19 學年，超過 1,800 名有特殊 教育需要的學生入讀 VTC 多項職前課 程。此外，展亮技能發展中心繼續為 有特殊教育需要的學生提供訓練，並 為學生提供多項專業支援服務。 我們又與社會福利署合作，為屯門兒 童及青少年院約 300 名學生提供職專 教育課程。 During the 2018/19 academic year, over 1,800 students with special educational needs were enrolled on our various pre-employment programmes. In addition, Shine Skills Centre continues to provide training for students with special educational needs, and provide professional support services to students in need. In collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, about 300 residents of the Tuen Mun Children and Juvenile Home were provided with tailor-made VPET programmes.
