35 The VTC actively promotes VPET in the secondary education sector, encouraging students to recognise the value of VPET and plan ahead for their future studies and careers. VPET in Secondary Education Sector Various community outreach programmes covering Applied Learning (ApL) courses, taster programmes and career planning outreach activities have been arranged to help secondary students plan their future learning and career goals. ENHANCING THE REACH OF VPET 全力推廣職專教育 VTC 積極向中學推廣職業專才教育， 鼓勵學生認識職專教育的價值，及早 籌劃進修及事業發展路向。 中學推廣活動 我們透過不同外展活動，包括應用學 習課程、課程體驗班、生涯規劃工作 坊等，協助中學生認識自我，確立未 來的升學及就業志向。 2018/19 年，約 2,000 名中五學生修 讀不同範疇的應用學習課程；我們亦 於約 250 所中學舉行近 430 場講座， 加深學生認識 VTC 的多元升學路徑， 以及職專教育課程的最新資訊。 In 2018/19 year, around 2,000 Secondary Five students were engaged in ApL courses in various areas of study. Some 430 talks were also arranged in around 250 secondary schools to enrich students’ understanding of the multiple pathways for further study and provide the latest information about VPET programmes offered by the VTC.
