34 With an aim to nurturing talent for social advancement, we have devoted significant efforts to pushing the boundaries of VPET. Strengthening STEM Education Being a keen promoter of STEM education, we have actively collaborated with industry to undertake interdisciplinary projects that can nurture interest in learning STEM subjects among the younger generation, and have also invited industry professionals to join a ‘Train the Trainer’ coaching scheme for promoting STEM learning. Students’ curiosity about STEM has also been nourished by STEM- related activities including workshops and summer camps tailored for secondary school students, as well as competitions such as the Hong Kong Secondary Innovation and Technology Competition 2018 and Hong Kong Robotic Olympiad 2018 organised by VTC STEM Education Centre. GROOMING FUTURE-READY TALENT 適切培訓 成就專才 VTC 致力優化職業專才教育，培育不 同領域的專業人才，促進社會進步。 加強 STEM 教育 我們大力推動 STEM 教育，積極與業 界合作推展跨學科項目，培育年輕一 代對 STEM 學科的學習興趣。我們又 招募業界專才參加指導員訓練計劃， 進一步推廣 STEM 教育。 VTC STEM 教育中心舉辦專為中學生 而設的工作坊和夏令營、全港中學創 新科技大賽 2018 ，以及香港機械奧運 會大賽 2018 等活動，藉此激發學生 探索 STEM 學科的興趣。
