31 Talent requirements keep changing nowadays, driven by socio-economic and technological advancements. To ensure our students are equipped with new knowledge and skills to face the challenges ahead, we continue to enhance the diversity, relevance and agility of our programmes and their curricula. New Programmes Open New Doors Cross-disciplinary collaborations and competencies have been gaining increasing importance in professional fields. During the review period, we introduced a suite of new interdisciplinary programmes to meet industry needs in the 21st century. Students will be trained to become innovative and interdisciplinary professionals for various industries. A number of new programmes in specialised fields were also offered in response to industry needs, namely Community Service Planning and Navigation, and Baking and Pastry Arts at Higher Diploma level; and Hotel Studies and Business Event Operations at Diploma level. The newly-launched three-year Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate programmes in the design and engineering streams for Secondary Three graduates provide a more comprehensive progression pathway for secondary school students. Upon completion of the Vocational Baccalaureate programme, students can progress into higher education locally or overseas. ADDRESSING THE NEEDS FOR NEW KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 悉心栽培 掌握新知與技能 社會及經濟持續發展,科技推陳出新, 行業對人才的需求隨之轉變。我們積 極開辦多元化的課程,適時更新課程 內容,確保學生掌握新知與技能,應 對未來的挑戰。 嶄新課程 開拓新路 不同專業領域對跨界合作及廣博才能 愈來愈重視。因應這個趨勢,我們在 本年度推出一系列新的跨學科課程, 培養學生的創新能力和跨界別知識, 培育不同行業專才,滿足 21 世紀對人 才的需求。 配合行業發展, VTC 推出多個專門範疇 的新課程,包括社區服務策劃及領航、 西 式 包 餅 及 糖 藝 高 級 文 憑 課 程, 以及酒店學和商務活動營運文憑課程。 新開辦的三年制職專國際課程設有 設計及工程兩個專業範疇,為中三 畢業生提供更多元的升學階梯,修畢 課程後,學生可選擇在本地或海外 繼續升學。
