21 Propelling Applied Education In the face of the fast-changing economy, our younger generations need to develop dynamic mindsets and broader skills to apply their knowledge in smart ways. An effective 21st century education must be able to connect students with the real world and empower them with skills and work knowledge. With applied education gaining momentum worldwide, we will continue to engage our stakeholders in driving innovation and meeting practical demands for new talent. I am grateful for the visionary leadership of our Council Members in steering the VTC towards many outstanding results. I would also like to thank our partners, donors and alumni communities who have been unrelenting in their support for the development of VPET. Equally important is the work of all our staff members who constantly help the VTC family move smoothly and confidently towards new milestones. We are looking forward to another accomplished year ahead.
