20 Harnessing Technology for Effective Learning To prevail in the working environments of today and tomorrow, young people must be able to hone their skills in a real-life context. With this in mind, we have formulated strategies to establish specialised facilities that can facilitate smart learning. These facilities include our BIMiHub, Multimedia Interactive Learning Hub and Smart Living Home , which have already been put into operation. Cybersecurity Centre and Innovation and Technology Co-creation Centre will follow in academic year 2019/20. The immersive environment offered by these establishments provides students with a test bed where they can explore new ideas and apply their skills and knowledge to help solve real-world problems. Building a Global Perspective During the year, we renewed agreements or formed new partnerships with various counterparts in the Mainland and overseas to maximise the impact of our education, including vocational training institutes from Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States. This expanding network helps both the VTC and its students to grow. In 2018/19, some 7,000 students took part in various exchange and industry attachment activities. Through participation in international events and contests like the WorldSkills competitions, our students were able to sharpen their skills, gain international exposure, and benefit from cultural exchange. At the same time, sharing insights and ideas with counterparts worldwide brings us new inspiration to shape the development of VPET programmes that can effectively address the challenges of the 21st century. 先進設施 提升教學成效 要在現今及未來的職場佔優，年輕人 必須在真實的工作環境中磨鍊技能， 鞏固實力。為此，我們制訂策略，建 立多項專業設施，提升學習成效。相 關設施包括已投入運作的 BIM 創新中 心、多媒體互動學習中心及智逸軒， 而網絡安全中心及業界共創中心將會 於 2019/20 學年陸續啟用。 透過上述設施，學生可在模擬環境下， 實踐創新意念，運用專業技能和知識， 解決現實世界的難題。 國際網絡 拓闊視野 年內， VTC 與內地及海外機構達成和 更新多項合作協議，當中包括來自阿 根廷、澳洲、比利時、巴西、法國、 德國、以色列、意大利、日本、盧森 堡、墨西哥、新西蘭、波蘭、新加坡、 英國及美國等教育機構。 龐大的伙伴網絡有助 VTC 及學生茁壯 成長。 2018/19 學年，約 7,000 名學 生參加了多項境外交流及實習活動。 藉著參與世界技能大賽等國際活動及 賽事，學生得以磨鍊技能、取得國際 經驗，並於文化交流中拓闊閱歷。 此外，透過與國際伙伴分享見解及心 得，亦為我們在制訂職業專才教育發 展路向上，帶來豐富啟迪，有效應對 21 世紀帶來的挑戰。
