19 科技發展迅速，我們積極培育學生的 專業知識與靈活協作能力，讓他們盡 展所長，成為未來的棟樑。配合行業 發展趨勢，我們推出了新計劃及項目， 務求為未來職場提供所需人才。 培育新知與技能 世界變化急速，學生賴以成功的技能 亦隨之轉變。在科技化的新時代，僱 主愈來愈看重跨學科技能與創新能 力，特別是在發展蓬勃及追求現代化 的行業，年輕人要取得發展優勢，必 須具備專業為本的技能與能力。 為提升培訓成效， VTC 開辦多元化的 課程，並優化課程內容及教學方法， 加強學生的實幹能力及專業知識。 我們亦開辦了一系列新興技能的課 程，包括金融科技、公關及數碼傳訊 等跨學科高級文憑課程，以應對社會 的人才需求。此外，我們十分重視學 生的全人發展，特別是在道德、設計 思維及關顧別人等方面，並積極鼓勵 他們運用所學，作出貢獻。 As the pace of technological progress accelerates, we are working to ensure that our students are able to excel and become future pillars of industry who can work professionally, flexibly and collaboratively. Keeping a close eye on industrial advancement trends, we have initiated new plans and projects during the period under review, all designed to prepare a steady supply of skilled professionals for tomorrow’s world of work. Creating New Knowledge and Skills Our fast-changing world is redefining the skills that students need to be successful in the future. Industry- oriented professionalism and competencies are essential for young people to thrive in the new technology- driven environment. Employers are putting increased emphasis on cross- disciplinary skills and the capacity for innovation, especially within dynamic and modernising industries. To better equip our students, the VTC has continued to expand our programme offerings, as well as enhancing curriculum and teaching practices to strengthen the work- readiness and expertise of our students. New programmes in emerging skills areas have been offered to address growing manpower demands, such as interdisciplinary Higher Diploma programmes in Financial Technology, Public Relations and Digital Communication. In addition to helping our students acquire new skills, we place strong emphasis on their all- round development, especially in the areas of ethics, design thinking skills and caring mindsets so that they are equipped to make a positive impact for now and for the future.
