13 Skilling for the Future The world is accelerating into a new era of technological transformation, with digitalisation having already permeated every aspect of home and community life. These developments pose challenges for local industries but also serve as a powerful driving force for future growth. To support Hong Kong’s strategic development in the digital economy, as well as harness the collective strengths of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and beyond, it is more important than ever to nurture skilled professionals for the city’s long-term development. The VTC has pushed forward efforts to augment its range of VPET offerings that blend classroom training, applied skills, global exposure and real-world relevance. We have set up new infrastructure and facilities to enhance innovation, co-creation and entrepreneurship, and introduced new initiatives to bring VPET to the next level. We are also widening our global footprint to create diverse overseas learning opportunities for our students. 多年來， VTC 致力提供優質、實務與 適切的職業專才教育，協助學生發揮 潛能，追求卓越。作為職業專才教育 的先驅，我們積極探索未來職場的發 展趨勢及掌握人力資源的新需求，務 求為新世代提供最佳支援，貢獻社群。 回顧過去一年，我們力求創新，推動 職業專才教育的發展，同時與業界保 持緊密互信的關係，促進行業人力 發展。 專業技能 拓展未來 隨著世界邁進科技轉型的新紀元，個 人生活以至社會層面均迎來數碼化的 轉變。 科技發展既為本地行業帶來挑戰，亦 為未來發展注入動力。為支援本港數 碼經濟的策略性發展，以及抓緊粵港 澳大灣區及區域性的協同發展優勢， 培育專才對城市的長遠發展更形重 要。 VTC 致力提供多元的職業專才教育課 程，並透過課堂培訓及實境式學習， 加強學生的應用技能，同時擴闊他們 的環球視野，與世界接軌。憑藉新增 的基建項目及設施，我們營造創新與 共創的學習環境，培養學生的企業精 神，引領職業專才教育邁向卓越水平。 我們亦積極拓展國際合作伙伴的網 絡，為學生提供更多元的海外學習機 會。 Over the years, our work has changed the lives of many people, enabling them to achieve excellence through high quality, practical and relevant VPET. To continue to play a pioneering role in VPET and stay ahead of the curve, we always challenge ourselves to rethink what the workplace will look like tomorrow and decades from now, and how we can best support the communities we serve for generations to come. During the year in review, we continued to innovate and sharpen our focus as a key player in VPET, and as a trusted partner to industries in supporting their manpower development.
