職業訓練局年報 VTC Annual Report 2017/2018

During the period under review, thanks to the collective efforts of the VTC community, we continued to make advances on many fronts, fulfilling our goals of empowering people for growth and creating value for all. We further enhanced our programme offerings and added new dimensions to VPET, as well as promoting skills excellence. We also forged closer ties with our local, regional and overseas partners to create greater impact. All in all, it has proved a significant year for future growth and development. Building a Robust VPET System In the new era of digital transformation, the VTC is playing a pivotal role in upgrading the skills of the city’s workforce and preparing them for the challenges ahead. We has put much emphasis in strengthening our students’ 21st century competencies, especially their digital skills, design thinking capabilities, interdisciplinary perspectives and global mindset. In 2017/18, we continued to empower VTC students by providing high-quality, diversified and relevant VPET programmes. In particular, we see the importance to provide school-leavers with flexible and diversified pathways for their growth. As part of this, the VTC has launched Vocational Baccalaureate programmes for Secondary 3 graduates in 2018/19 academic year, which offer them an alternative means of progression to local or overseas universities and higher education. Also to be offered from the 2018/19 academic year onwards are new interdisciplinary programmes that we have developed to address the manpower needs of Hong Kong’s emerging and evolving industries. In 2014, we introduced the dual-track VTC Earn & Learn Scheme, a tripartite initiative between the Government, industry and the VTC. To groom talent with higher qualifications and hands-on work experience, the VTC will extend the scheme to Degree level. 在 VTC 團 隊 群 策 群 力 下， 本 年 度 我 們 繼續在不同領域取得成果，實踐培育專 才、與社會共創價值的目標。 在課程上，我們提供更多元化的選擇， 全力推廣專業技能。同時， VTC 致力加 強與本地、區內及海外伙伴的連繫，務 求持續推動香港人力發展，年內各項進 展對 VTC 的發展別具意義。 建構穩健職專教育體系 在數碼轉型的新紀元， VTC 在提升專業 技能方面擔當著關鍵的角色，助年輕人 迎接未來的挑戰。 我們特別著重發展學生的 21 世紀核心技 能，尤其是數碼技能、設計思維、跨學 科能力及國際視野。 在 2017/18 年度，我們繼續提供優質適 切的職業專才教育課程。我們重視離校 生的學習需要，為他們提供靈活多元的 進修階梯。就此， VTC 於 2018/19 學年 為中三畢業生提供職專國際課程，助他 們銜接本地或海外大學及專上教育，開 拓另一升學途徑。 此外，由 2018/19 學年開始， VTC 推出 一系列跨學科課程，以配合新興行業及 業界轉型對人才的需求。 2014 年，在政府、業界與 VTC 三方合作 下，我們推出職學雙軌模式的 VTC Earn & Learn 職學計劃。 VTC 將計劃進一 步 擴展至學位課程，以提升學生的資歷與 行業經驗。 19
