Mr PANG Kam-chiu was conferred the VTC Honorary Fellowship by Financial Secretary The Honourable Paul CHAN Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP at Graduation Ceremony 2018

Mr PANG Kam-chiu possesses extensive networks in the hairdressing industry and is very active in the sectors of hairdressing salons, hairdressing training, professional equipment and merchandise producers, and wholesale and retailing. He is Chief Executive Officer of Pivot Point College Hong Kong. He is a Founder and Managing Director of the Polus International College. Mr Pang is also Chairman of the Hong Kong Image Designer Association and Intercoiffure China.
 

In the industry community, Mr Pang actively served on the Industry Training Advisory Committee – Hairdressing, as Chairman from 2004 to 2006, as Member from 2006 to 2010, and as Co-opted Member from 2010 to 2014. Mr Pang’s wealth of industry knowledge amalgamates with his generosity and enthusiasm to nurture young and aspiring professionals. Mr Pang has long been sponsoring young talents in the past 30 years to participate in major industry competitions worldwide. He also set up the Pivot Point (China) Education Fund to make donations to VTC and voluntary services, like scholarships for VTC students, free haircuts to the elderly, and donations to Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation, and so on.
 

Since 2007, Mr Pang has been serving as member of the Beauty Care and Hairdressing Training Board (BHTB) before assuming his current Chairmanship in 2013. In BHTB, Mr Pang’s contributions include Worldskills Competitions, Manpower Surveys, Trade Test and also One Examination, Multiple Certification (OEMC) System in hairdressing. Mr Pang himself is also an Expert of the OEMC in Hairdressing. In 2017, the International Professional Standard Network (IPSN), a collaboration partner of OEMC, has conferred an ‘IPSN Honorary Award’ to Mr Pang in recognition of his significant contributions to hairdressing, both for the industry and for its professional education. Mr Pang was also member of the Sub-committee for VTC 35th Anniversary Tribute Dinner.
