Honorary Fellowships

Ir Raymond SYNN Cheung is a prominent and active leader in the electrical and mechanical services industry, in particular the air-conditioning and refrigeration engineering sector. Ir Synn is the Director and General Manager of Krueger Engineering (Asia) Limited, with an impressive track record for constructing some of the largest and most complex building services systems in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China. He was the former President of The Hong Kong Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Association Limited and Vice President of The Hong Kong Federation of Electrical and Mechanical Contractors Limited.
 

Ir Synn is currently the Convener of the Education and Training Subcommittee in E&M Services Industry Training Advisory Committee and Chairman of the Contractor Cooperative Training and Apprenticeship Scheme Committee in Construction Industry Training Board. Also, he is the Chairman of Caring Committee in The Hong Kong Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Association Limited providing continuous support and donation to charity affairs for the community, employees and environment.
 

Ir Synn has been a keen supporter of the VTC. He was member of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Training Board from 2003 to 2008 and has been its Chairman since 2009. During his chairmanship, the Training Board has several major achievements, including launching trade tests for lift and escalator mechanics and assisting the development of training programmes for the Contractor Cooperative Training Scheme as well as revising the methodology adopted in the biennial manpower survey. He is also actively involved in the various advisory boards and committees in the Engineering Discipline of the VTC. Ir Synn has tendered his full support and constructive inputs to the implementation of the Earn & Learn Pilot Scheme for the industry.
