Dr YEUNG Kin-man, SBS, JP was conferred the VTC Honorary Fellowship

Dr YEUNG Kin-man is a successful entrepreneur and advocator of innovation. He founded Biel Crystal (Hong Kong) Manufactory Limited, which produces over half the glass panels for mobile devices globally. As a professional engineer with entrepreneurial zeal, technological insight and business acumen, Dr Yeung has won wide recognitions, including 2016 Industrialist of the Year from the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, Outstanding Achievement 2016 from the Professional Validation Council of Hong Kong Industries and 2015 Leader of the Year – Commerce and Industry/Finance from Sing Tao News. Dr Yeung has also been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the City University of Hong Kong.
 

Beyond the industry, Dr Yeung’s company also won the 5th Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award from The Mirror Post Cultural Enterprises. He is a consultant for Heung Yee Kuk New Territories, the President of the Federation of Hong Kong Guangdong Community Organisations, the Executive Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Huichow Association and a Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and the Huizhou Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. An ardent supporter of worthy causes, Dr Yeung is equally passionate about giving back to society, especially for VPET and higher education. He was appointed as a Justice of the Peace in 2016 and awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star Award by the Government of the HKSAR in 2017.
 

Dr Yeung has made donations, via the Professional Validation Council of Hong Kong Industries, to set up the Yeung Kin Man Youth Industrial Incubation Scheme which aims to train and encourage VTC students in Business, Engineering and IT Disciplines to pursue careers in the industrial sectors of Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. The Scheme provides all-round exposure, like industrial attachment, project competitions, company visits and talks to VTC students.
